Bloggy Update, Revisited 5/3

Hello there!

Question – Is anyone out there watching The Terror on AMC?

According to Wiki “The Terror is a 2007 novel by American author Dan Simmons.[1] It is a fictionalized account of Captain Sir John Franklin’s lost expedition of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror to the Arctic, in 1845–1848, to locate the Northwest Passage. In the novel, while Franklin and his crew are plagued by starvation and illness, and forced to contend with mutiny and cannibalism, they are stalked across the bleak Arctic landscape by a monster.”

In other words, it’s pretty amazing. I’ve been watching it and am fairly compelled to read the book after it finishes up. If anyone else is watching it, leave me a comment and tell me what you think.

Besides having a number of NEW posts on the blog, as well as a NEW interview (as of today!), I am in the process of gearing up for the Duncan Manor Open House. It will be THIS Saturday and Sunday (May 5 and 6).

As promised, I’ll have all 4 books to sign, plus some groovy swag as always. If you’re not a fan of suspense/horror, think of the books as gifts – something which will be welcomed by the new graduate, a Mother’s Day present that will last longer than flowers, or a birthday surprise for those who love to read.

And after Duncan Manor, there’ll be another event just around the corner – Cogs & Corsets: Steampunk Happening!

    1. What did you think of the book? Worth reading? Yes, the show, I think, is really fascinating. The commercials are kind of a pain because they come in during the worst times, but it’s still worth it.
