This month is the longest year I’ve ever experienced.
Yeah – old joke (at least a month old now). But pretty true. I figure that most of my readers will be experiencing some sort of quarantine (self appointed or otherwise), so you might be feeling a little boxed in and antsy by this point.
You are not alone. Even if you are, literally, in a place all by yourself, isolating from everything and everyone. Please know that there are many, many people who understand and know this is difficult. Reach out through social media if you can.
And of course, a HUGE THANK YOU to all the people who are taking care of the world right now. Nurses, doctors, EMTs, store workers, delivery drivers, truckers, people working in places that are too numerous to mention…
THANK YOU. Every single thing would be so much harder (if not impossible) without you. It’s because of you that the rest of us are making it through these days, weeks, and months.
As for me and my evenings and weekends?
I’ve seen Parasite (really good but I found it a little long), Ozark (TV series – AMAZING!), You (TV series – really good!), Stan & Ollie (really nice and touching), and a few others that I can’t remember off the top of my head.
Since I am in the process of re-writing my manuscript from November (Rage – book #4), I’m not reading any books at this time. I find I can’t read anything and write without potential cross-over on style, so, I refrain. I just “finished” chapter 7 and will be working on chapter 8 tomorrow. It’s slow going, but the 2nd draft always takes me the longest. I’m going through the first “crazed” draft from Nano – which means anything and everything is on those pages! Some makes sense. Some doesn’t. It’s lots of work, but it’s cool because at the end of a chapter, it’s much more “polished” and helps tell the story.
There are also a few new interviews (authors and Flip Side) to check out. Let me know how you are getting along these days, okay?
