Hello!

Just a quick update on ‘things’:

  1. There is only ONE MORE EVENT for 2024! It’s the Old Rugged Barn Craft Market in Towanda, Illinois. It takes place on Saturday, December 14 from 10am to 3pm. All the specifics can be found in the EVENTS section of the blog, so, if you are inclined, check it out, stop by, grab some things, and pet some rescue dogs!
  2. My manuscript still lies with the Beta Readers at this time. I’ll be sending out a quick reminder/check-in to them, but I won’t be working on Draft #6 until the beginning of February.
  3. Congratulations to those who undertook NanoWriMo this year! I know there was much controversy (see a recent All Business article of mine on the blog), but if it helped you start a first draft or aided you in any way, go for it!
  4. Biscuit is now a 5-month-old terror. He’s discovered that chewing all manner of cords is a fun pastime. We are strongly working on discouraging said behavior. We’ll see who wins…lol.
  5. Monkey is “tolerating” the little Kraken, but only when she doesn’t see him.
  6. I ordered 3 sets of bookmarks. It cost $154. Swag isn’t free, people! LOL.
  7. For the FIRST TIME since I’ve been vending, I ran out of one of my titles! (Rage) Fortunately, it was at the very end of the Springfield event and I ordered them ASAP! I’m supposed to get them BEFORE the final event in Towanda. Let’s hope!
  8. Is anyone watching From? It’s fantastic! We just finished Season 3. Holy cow, what a show.
  9. While I ‘take a break’ from manuscript writing, I work on book reviews for Candace Nola and her blog, Uncomfortably Dark. You can find some of my reviews such as this one: https://www.uncomfortablydark.com/post/11-08-2024-guest-author-book-review-highway-man-by-m-j-preston
  10. I’ll most likely send out another Bloggy Update before the year is out, but in the meantime, have a VERY GROOVY month, stay warm, take a breath, try to find moments to relax and appreciate the animals, and above all: THANK YOU for the support in all the many ways – reading the blog, reading my books, leaving reviews, sharing any parts of the blog, and to ALL the AUTHORS, MUSICIANS, and ARTISTS who have contributed here.
