Welcome. Take a moment to wander around the blog. There’s quite a bit going on here. For example:
I mostly write suspense with twists of psychological horror. Throughout the blog, you can learn about books and articles I’ve written, things I am currently working on, blogs and interviews I’ve had the privilege to be a part of, and author events I will attend or have attended. You can also purchase ANY/ALL of my 4 books right from this blog. (Go to the My Books section)
If you “follow me” you’ll get a heads up about NEW MATERIAL and BOOK SIGNINGS before its posted anywhere else. I send out a Bloggy Update about once a week.
I also have a “Review” area. Here, you’ll find my personal reviews of movies, television shows, podcasts, and the occasional piece of music. Anything goes – from bad movies to the show “Shark Tank”.
I have dedicated a section of this blog to Author Interviews. As long as someone has published their work and it is out in the world for others to enjoy, learn from, or experience in some way, they are free to be a part of my Meet & Greet. I welcome ALL genres and all professional levels. Everyone deserves their 15 minutes.
Sue Rovens (and friend in back)
I am an indie suspense writer with two novels currently out in the world. Badfish, my first novel, was published in 2015. Track 9 was published in April, 2017. I also have two anthologies of short horror stories, In a Corner, Darkly: Volume 1 and Volume 2. All my books are available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats.
My third suspense novel, Buried, is currently being revised. The plan is to have it available for the public sometime in 2019.
I wish I could say that I write full-time (for a living), but no. I work at Illinois State University as the Stacks Maintenance Manager in Milner Library. I’ve been with ISU for over 27 years.
I have a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Recreation (and a Bachelor’s in Speech Communication) from ISU. At one time, long ago, I held an EMT-B certification.
When I’m not writing, I’m either running, watching weird movies, lifting weights, herding Noodle (our 6 year old enormous black cat who currently weighs 19 pounds) and our year and a half old kitten, Monkey, around the house or hanging out with Charlie, my “partner in crime”.
