Feel free to wander around the blog.
I mainly write suspense with twists of psychological horror. I’ve written 4 novels that would best be classified under the realm of suspense/thriller and two books of short horror stories. You can purchase ANY/ALL of my 6 books from this blog. (Go to the My Books: Purchase Here section on the front/main page)
My new book, Rage, is OUT! https://www.amazon.com/Rage-Sue-Rovens/dp/1733916326
If you “follow me” you’ll get a Bloggy Update about once every ten to fourteen days. I hate spam too, so rest assure that I won’t inundate your box with “ads” or anything else you may find annoying.
If you dig music, check out The Flip Side, a section dedicated to all things music-related. And if art/artists are more your thing, hop on over to the Spotlight section.
I have dedicated a section of this blog to Author Interviews. As long as someone has published their work and it is out in the world for others to enjoy, learn from, or experience in some way, they are free to be a part of my Meet & Greet. I welcome ALL genres and ALL professional levels.
I am an indie suspense writer with four novels currently out in the world. Badfish is my first, Track 9 followed two years later, Buried came third, and Rage was born on June 22, 2021. I also have two books of short horror stories, In a Corner, Darkly: Volumes 1 & 2. All are available in paperback AND Kindle format through Amazon.
My NEW NOVEL, RAGE, is now available on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Rage-Sue-Rovens/dp/1733916326
I worked at Illinois State University as the Stacks Maintenance Manager in Milner Library for 30 years. I’ve been officially retired for over 9 months now. I’d had people ask if I’m bored and want to go back to work. When I’m done laughing, I tell them “no.”
I have a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Recreation and a Bachelor’s in Speech Communication from ISU. At one time, long ago, I held an EMT-B certification. I’ve worked briefly in radio, delivered pizza, sold vacuums over the phone, worked retail, waited tables, and cleaned hotel rooms. (thankfully not all at once)
When I’m not writing, I’m either running, watching weird movies, lifting weights, learning to play french horn , snuggling with Noodle, our 11 year old black kitty who weighs 18.8 lbs., or tripping over our 5 year old kitty, Monkey. I’m doing NanoWriMo this year (right now!), so there will be another novel coming at some point.
