About Me (and this blog) – Updated 5/15/21

Feel free to wander around the blog.

  • I mainly write suspense with twists of psychological horror. I’ve written 3 novels that would best be classified under the realm of suspense/thriller and two books of short horror stories. You can purchase ANY/ALL of my 5 books from this blog. (Go to the My Books section on the front/main page) I will have a NEW BOOK OUT later this year (2021) – Rage (also in the suspense/thriller category)

  • If you “follow me” you’ll get a Bloggy Update about once every ten to fourteen days. I hate spam too, so rest assure that I won’t inundate your box with “ads” or anything else you may find annoying.

  • If you dig music, check out The Flip Side, a section dedicated to all things music-related. And if art/artists are more your thing, hop on over to the Spotlight section.

  • I have dedicated a section of this blog to Author Interviews. As long as someone has published their work and it is out in the world for others to enjoy, learn from, or experience in some way, they are free to be a part of my Meet & Greet. I welcome ALL genres and all professional levels.

About Me

I am an indie suspense writer with three novels currently out in the world. Badfish is my first, Track 9 followed two years later, and Buried is the newest, having come out in April 2019. I also have two books of short horror stories, In a Corner, Darkly: Volumes 1 & 2. All are available on Kindle.

I’m just about finished with my final revision of my NEW, UPCOMING NOVEL RAGE. I’m planning a release of this, my fourth novel, sometime before September ’21.

I worked at Illinois State University as the Stacks Maintenance Manager in Milner Library for 30 years. I’m officially retired, or shall I say, Occupation – Writer. 🙂

I have a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Recreation (and a Bachelor’s in Speech Communication) from ISU. At one time, long ago, I held an EMT-B certification. I’ve worked briefly in radio, delivered pizza, sold vacuums over the phone, waited tables, and cleaned hotel rooms. (thankfully, not all at once)

When I’m not writing, I’m either running, watching weird movies, lifting weights, learning to play the french horn , snuggling with Noodle, our 10 1/2 year old black kitty who is a big fluff ball, or tripping over our 5 year old kitty, Monkey. My first book event for 2021 is coming up on July 24th – Bishop Hill Book Fair.
