Welcome to Winter.
It’s been the usual mad rush up to this time of year. Weird schedules at work, running errands, mailing cards, trying to keep up on the laundry piles…you know, standard procedures of December.
But, we made it. After today, Illinois State University starts its break, which means that once it hits 4pm (for me), I am DONE until January 3. It’s really one of the best parts of working here, and every year I’m glad for the time off.
We will be scuttling off to St. Charles, Missouri for a few days over the break – kind of like a vacation from our vacation. It’s a chance to hang out someplace different for a little bit, but somewhere that’s not too far from home.
I’m not even THINKING about Buried until January. But when I go back to it, I’m all in. I hope to have the manuscript completely ready to go by sometime in February. As I mentioned before, I need to find someone who will do the layout and cover, but I am doing “re-con” and have some ideas. I’ll keep you posted.
Other than that, I’ll still be posting here and there over the next couple of weeks, so please do check back. And share. It’s the season, right? Share the blog among your friends. The more, the merrier.
Thanks for reading and have a great holiday!
