Ah…book events. It’s so nice to meet people again in person, talk book stuff, and hang out. It’s still a cautious time, though. I’m debating about Printer’s Row in Chicago (on September 11 and 12). Sure, it’s outdoors, but it’s also Chicago – lots of people and perhaps not the best place for vending at this time. I’ll be making a decision one way or another within the week. I do have two events in October, but that’s still far away and booster shots might be in play before then.

I’m in the process of choosing some NEW swag to give away to people when they buy my books. I have the bookmarks, of course, but I might not continue with the pencils (which have my blog site on them). While there’s nothing particularly wrong with handing out (or mailing) pencils, I think I want to shake things up a bit and do something else. Change is good, even when it comes to swag 🙂
I’m still debating on doing NanoWriMo this year. I keep going back and forth in my head – should I or shouldn’t I? I have a VERY loose idea, but I don’t know if I can build an entire story around it. We’ll see. There’s still time.
We started watching The Fall (tv series from Belfast). It’s pretty good. We just finished season 2 with one more to go. It’s very “procedural” – about a serial killer and the police on his trail. I’d give it decent ratings so far and I’m very curious as to how it will end. The seasons are short (5 to 6 episodes each), so you can get through it pretty quickly.
I want to give another SHOUT OUT to all the new folks who’ve joined recently. Thank you! I hope you’re enjoying all the bloggy goodness. If you haven’t yet, a NEW Spotlight went up fairly recently as well as a new Monday Meet & Greet. Check ’em out when you can!
