Bloggy Update 4/9/22

Posted by

My 58th year has had a bit of a rocky start.

After celebrating (low-key) with Charlie on the 27th, the clock must have started. The throat. The endless drip. The sinus pressure. By mid-week, I knew it wasn’t just coming…it had taken up residence. The all too familiar sinus infection (hadn’t had one in almost 3 years) had reared its ugly head and decided to put a stop to pretty much everything I had been working on.

So, that’s where I’ve been – dealing with antibiotics, sleeping in hour-long segments, brain fog, and everything else that accompanies feeling awful. No sympathy needed, though, as I believe I’m on the upswing now. In fact, I posted a NEW FLIPSIDE INTERVIEW just before typing this. (music folks, take note! – hey, that’s pretty good…lol)

I was able to get through 12 chapters of Sanctum (my new novel – working on draft #2) when the germs hit. I plan to start up again now that I can think a bit more clearly. I’m also looking forward to the Spring Market at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard on April 29 and 30.

So, not a huge update, but I thought a quick note was certainly due. I hope your having a Very Groovy April/Spring so far. Please feel free to share, comment, and let me know what YOU are working on these days!

🙂

  1. I used to get sinus infections a lot. I haven’t had one for years (said while knocking on wood), but I know how wretched they can be. I’m glad it’s mostly behind you. Congrats on the progress you’re making with writing , too. I’m still hip deep in editing my WIP. I can’t wait until I can actually tart writing again! 🙂

    1. They are life-stoppers for sure. This one isn’t gone yet, but I feel well enough to scold Monkey (one of the kitties) for sticking her face in my cup of tea, so there’s that. LOL. And good for you and your WIP! No hurries on it, right?
