Bloggy Update 9/9/24

A whole month since the last Bloggy Update? What gives?

Draft #4 of In a Corner, Darkly: Volume 3, that’s what! πŸ™‚ I’ve been waist-deep in editing and re-writing, and truth be told, when I spend a “certain amount of time” in front of the computer, I need a break! So, many other things get put aside. At this point, I have three stories left in the draft, so if all goes well, I should be done with it by mid-September. Then, I’ll set it aside until mid-October, complete Draft #5, and then send it off to my Beta Readers.

I’m also looking at a couple events in the near future. Heyworth Market on Main Street is coming this Sunday, September 15th from 11am to 3pm, and then Tomes of Terror takes place on Saturday, October 26th from 10am to 4pm. It’s a little weird for me to only have one event in October, as that month is spooooooky (as are my books to some degree), but it just worked out that way. Every year is a bit different when it comes to events and fairs. If you are interested in event details, hop over to the Events Section of the blog. πŸ™‚

Recently, I had to re-order books. Four of them – Volume 2 of In a Corner, Darkly, Sanctum, Track 9, and Buried. Certainly a “good” problem to have. But it cost just under $800 (and yes, that includes shipping). It’s funny, isn’t it? Some people think indie authors make a killing, but, ah, if they only knew the cost of things behind the scenes. Am I right, authors?

Once again, I’m not going to inundate you with what we’ve been watching as I have Draft #4 calling me today, but, as a one-off, we HAVE been watching Poker Face (series), starring Natasha Lyonne. It’s sort of a current take on Columbo and 70s crime drama shows, but has a fresh spin on it. We have one episode left and are really enjoying it.

Okay – back to work! πŸ™‚
