Bloggy Update 11/4/24

This is Biscuit. Just turned 4 months old baby boy and weighs all of 4.06 lbs. He’s the reason that I’ve not been working on my manuscript, why the main floor of our house is a disaster, and why his ‘new sister’, Monkey has been hissing up a storm (she’s better now…sometimes…lol)

After losing Noodle in September, we knew we didn’t want to wait too long before adopting a new lil’ nugget into our fold. We adopted Biscuit (we changed his name from Warren) in October and have been on kitten patrol ever since! (but loving it) His first official vet visit was today and it went swimmingly. The entire office staff was melting from his cuteness 🙂 How could they not? LOL.

So, I HAVE been a little backlogged as to Draft #5. Life got a little too hectic and crazed, but it’s calming down now. I currently have completed editing four of the 15 stories and plan to start up again today/tomorrow. My intention is to have Draft #5 finished by December 1st so I can send it off to my Beta Readers. Let’s keep our paws crossed.

And we are waist-deep in events. Just finished a two day deal in Mackinaw, Illinois (which went pretty well), and this weekend, I’ll be at the Bloomington Public Library for their yearly Author Fair (Saturday, November 9 from 1:30 to 3:30pm for local folks). On Saturday, November 23, I’ll be back at Normal West High School for their HUGE Holiday Craft Show (9am to 2pm, again, for the local peeps!) I have two more events in December and that will be a wrap for 2024.

There’s a few contests that I’ve been eyeballing – requests for short stories. The tabs are open on my computer, but as I said, things keep cropping up and when I DO have/find time to sit down and focus, I try to work on the manuscript. You know how that goes, right?

Yes, we’ve been watching things, but even that’s been a little hit or miss these past few weeks. So, I’ll be posting what we’ve been watching NEXT time around. For now, here’s a few more gratuitous shots…enjoy!

Don’t forget to VOTE tomorrow (if you haven’t already)! I’m voting for Biscuit!

🙂
