It’s begun! Revision #3 of Rage!
Can’t say what exactly prompted it, but I finished chapter one yesterday and hope to do the next one either today or tomorrow. It’s exciting and makes me feel like I’m “back in it”. Since I’m focused on this particular manuscript, I won’t be doing NanoWriMo this year. I remember earlier in 2020, when Covid first hit, I thought, “well, I’m going to have so much time, I’m sure I’ll be done with Rage and be able to start a new one.”
Well, that didn’t happen. LOL.
But, what IS happening is that I am getting a wee bit more comfortable with a few notes on the french horn. Until I officially retire, I’m learning by trial and error and YouTube videos. There doesn’t seem to be a point in hiring a teacher if you can’t actually meet in person. Sure, there’s video and Zoom and whatnot, but that’s not how I want to learn an instrument. So, I’m going slow and figuring things out on my own right now.
I’ve also signed on to be an Executive Producer for an indie (short) horror film by Angel Rosa! While that basically means I’m one of a handful of financial backers (and not actually DOING things on set), it’s still cool to be “a part of something in the film industry”.
Plus!! (yes, there’s more) I might be dabbling a toe into podcasting! Carol Ford, multi-media expert, podcaster, and author, recently asked if I’d like to come aboard and do a horror podcast with her. Of course, I’m all over that. We are literally in the first week of figuring things out, so I don’t have much to report, but keep checking back because I think this is going to be quite groovy when it all comes together.
Okay, that’s a wrap!

Yay for chapter 1, good luck on chapter 2 (and on the French horn!).

Thanks so much! The horn is fun, although the kitties are generally not amused.

I’d hoped to have my book finished by now with all the free time due to Covid – don’t even have a complete first draft yet. That’s awesome all the things you have going on right now, Sue – and good luck with the french horn!
