We are on the precipice.
Charlie “retires” in two days. (there’s a technicality that his actual date of retirement is September 30th, but for all practical purposes, tomorrow is his “last day at work”)
ISU begins Monday.
I’ve signed up for my first book event – NEXT October (2021).
I’m heading back into Rage in a couple of weeks (novel #4) to begin revision #3. The time is coming – I feel the pull. The book must go forward. Stalling isn’t the same as giving it time to breathe, but if I put it off too much longer, I’ll be wading into the dangerous waters of procrastination, and that’s something I don’t want to do.
I’ve decided NOT to write the non-fiction book I was casting on about earlier. I’m going to use the general story of the Human Library, but have chosen to make it fiction. I won’t really burrow into that plot until next year, but there would be too many problems and legal ramifications if I made it non-fiction.
I’m also going to start work on the Index of the other interviews (Spotlight & Flipside). I have the basic page up, but haven’t been able to spend time on it. So, look for those in the near future.
What does fall bring for you? New things? Continuation of your routine? Let me know! 🙂
Hi, Sue. Retirement is exciting. I still have years to go but my oldest sister retires next week (with her actual official date in September). It sounds like you have been busy working on various projects. I’m still focused on my same WIP, but I have a short story coming out in a murder mystery anthology in the fall. I’m looking forward to that.
Happy writing!

Congratulations!! That’s great. Yeah, it’s going to be really weird having Charlie “gone” from the library. He’s been up there on Floor 2 ever since I’ve known him (14.5 years). I told him I’m going to be texting him at home. LOL.

Know what you mean about author events. A couple of mine this year have been changed to virtual (one will be within a FB group and the other still isn’t confirmed), and others rescheduled to next year. I really miss talking with readers!

Exactly. There’s a store here in town that’s opening up to vendors (outdoor market), but I have to say, I’m too freaked to do that. I just don’t trust all the interactions/touching at this time.
