Posted by The last day of May and things are moving along at a pretty rapid pace. The garage sale to end all garage sales is OVER! We shocked ourselves and did really well. Sold a LOT. Brought most of the leftover things to a place here in town that resells items at a discount. Plus, we saw lots of groovy friends, made some new ones, and have some funny and ‘head shaking’ memories. While it was a ton of work (I know, I’ve said that probably 100 times), it was definitely worth it.
Next month (June), we’re off to England for a short stay. Basically, the trip will consist of concerts, record stores, and tea shops. Looking forward to visiting another country as I have never been there, and it’s been over 40 years since Charlie visited.
June is also the month when the NEW blog should go live! Not sure how the process will happen as the person who is creating it and I will have some things to alter/change/get up to speed, but I’m really excited about this. As groovy as I’ve tried to make THIS blog, I know that I have tech limitations. So, having a person to help and who understands all the “background” to how a website works will be a tremendous help. Keep an eyeball peeled!
I’m still on the hunt for ANY artists or music folks to do an interview on the blog – so, if you know of anyone or any group, send them my way! (srovens@yahoo.com) All interviews WILL be transferred to the new site.
I’ll be diving back into Draft #2 in July sometime. No title yet – just novel #6. Titles usually ‘come to me’ sometime during the draft process, so it could happen at any time.
And we’re still on the ER bandwagon. We just started Season 10. I DID manage to watch the 2025 version of Nuremberg last night. While I understand that they took some liberties with the characters and side plot lines, I learned a great deal and would highly recommend this version. I tried to watch the original movie (Judgment at Nuremberg from 1961), but honestly, I couldn’t get into it. As much as I love all things retro and old school, I simply couldn’t connect with the older version.
So, a short one, but I wanted to keep you apprised of the latest! Keep cool, keep the spooders (spiders) at bay, and grab a book (or three) 🙂
