From Blogspot to WordPress to (soon!) Squarespace. It’s almost time.
This post will be my last on THIS site. I will hold all others (Meet & Greets, Spotlight and Flipside interviews, Bloggy Updates, All Business for August, etc.) until the NEW webpage goes Live. Since I still ‘own’ THIS site (on WordPress), I WILL come back and post/share the new link/address here. After some time (making sure that the new site is up and functioning), I will cancel/delete/close THIS blog – but that won’t happen until the switch is complete. Keep a lively eyeball peeled.
Aside from the upcoming wonder that will be a fresher, easier to manage, more user friendly Blog, I have started Draft #2 of my sixth novel (no title). I’m six chapters in and can actually “see” the story unfolding. I’m going through each chapter VERY slowly and basically creating the entire plot/character arcs from scratch. I’ve ‘saved’ about 5-10% of what I typed during Draft #1 (which I’m sure I mentioned was mostly garbage…but it was MY garbage! lol) So, it’s kind of fun to see what new directions it’s taking me. Best guess scenario – I’m hoping to finish Draft #2 by mid-August at the latest.
Events? Yes! I have the Painted Wraith Fair coming up on August 15 (10am to 5pm) here in Bloomington, Illinois. After that? The Morton Pumpkin Festival (tent needed – ew) on September 18 and 19. I’ll be posting all the details on my Facebook page (it isn’t an author page – just a normal one under my name, Sue Rovens). Hop over there to catch any news about the events.
And as to what we’ve been watching?
The ending of THIS blog coincides with us finishing 15 Seasons of ER (we have 3 episodes left and I’m sure we’ll watch those tonight). It’s like everything has come full circle. 🙂
**An enormous shout out to Charlie, all the writers, artists, musicians, podcasters, and everyone who has followed THIS blog and all of my wacky ramblings. Thank you for the support, the readership, the shares, the reviews, and the commentary.**
Onward to better times for us all.
Sue

I’m also drafting – which I hate. Once I have a first draft, my speed picks up. Kudos for finishing all 15 seasons of ER. Not sure if I have it in me to start all over, lol. Looking forward to the new site!

Yes, watching 15 seasons (with 22 episodes per) is a LOT. I’d forgotten so many parts (and characters), so it was great to see the whole thing again. And, yes, editing/working on drafts is time consuming and a great deal of work, but I sure like to see the story unfold. That part is cool.
And as for the upcoming website? Gosh, yes! I am SO READY to end my personal fight/vendetta with WordPress!
